SAP Test Management

Test Management defines the integration testing requirements and test scope based on a change impact analysis. It is used to develop automatic and manual test cases, manage the testers, and report on the test progress and test results.

Any set of systems requires testing to ensure they are running correctly. The best approach to testing is to set up an automated system using multiple functionalities that reduce human error, alert you to issues that your systems may have, and avoid the cost it would take to fix such issues.

CoreALM provides four types of testing:

• Test Management with SAP Solution Manager and HP QTP
• Test Management with SAP Solution Manager, SAP QC, HP QTP and SAP TAO
• Test Management with SAP Solution Manager and Worksoft Certify
• Test Management with SAP Solution Manager and IBM Rational Software

Solution Manager contains tools and methodologies and preconfigured content to implement.
You can use this business scenario to manage and execute the testing of cross-system business processes. Test cases are stored on the relevant business processes or process steps and the testers work in the same structure as the project members that make the configuration. If you are creating test plans, you can either choose the relevant test cases yourself or determine them using the Business Process Change Analyzer. You can use the Business Process Change Analyzer to create test plans that are tailored exactly to the changes you have specified. To analyse the tests, various status and message overviews as well as functions from BI reporting are available.

CoreALM can set up automated function and regression testing service by implementing a process using a number of Tools. These applications include SAP Quality Center by HP (QC), a web-based application that supports the management of test processes such as test preparation, execution, and monitoring and HP QuickTest Professional. SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization (SAP TAO), which is integrated with SAP Solution Manager, SAP managed systems that provides preconfigured, automated, functional test components for SAP GUI-based transaction.
